Christmas Valley — Lake County Christmas Valley Store and Fuel
Christmas Valley is a small high-desert community sitting in the middle of some of Oregon’s most remote overland terrain — Crack-in-the-Ground, Lost Forest, the Silver Lake Alkali Flats. The general store here stocks basic provisions, and fuel is available at the station in town. It’s not a full-service truck stop, but it’s real, it’s open, and it exists where almost nothing else does. Fill every can and top the tank — the nearest alternatives are over an hour of desert road in any direction.
Running the Alkali Flat Road corridor between Summer Lake and Christmas Valley, this is your only confirmed fuel between Paisley and Bend. Hours can be limited off-season — verify ahead. The town also has a small airstrip and a sand dunes area worth poking at if you’ve got time. No showers, minimal cell signal outside of town.
Lone fuel stop in the Oregon high desert void.
