Camping Termas de Copahue
Established campground at the Termas de Copahue hot springs complex, sitting at 2000 meters elevation in the volcanic landscape near Caviahue. Basic sites with fire rings and picnic tables, plus access to the thermal pools complex. The setting is stark and beautiful — volcanic peaks, steam vents, and mineral-stained earth. Popular with Argentines seeking thermal therapy, but most overlanders use it as a base for exploring the Ruta Provincial 307 volcanic spine.
Access via good gravel road from Caviahue village. Open November through April only due to heavy winter snow. Reserve ahead during January-February peak season. The thermal pools have entry fees separate from camping. Some sites can handle larger rigs, but the access road has switchbacks.
