Buttermilk Country Campground
Well-maintained private campground on Buttermilk Road with 60+ sites ranging from tent spots to full RV hookups. Base camp for Inyo Crest Trail access or Death Valley runs, with clean restrooms, hot showers, and a small camp store. Sites are gravel with some shade trees, and you get decent views of the Sierra Nevada. Popular with overlanders running the Eastern Sierra routes.
About 10 minutes from downtown Bishop for major resupply. Road is paved all the way in, and they can handle big rigs. Reservations recommended during peak season (spring through fall). Some sites get road noise from Highway 395.
