BLM Sand Hollow Dispersed Area
This BLM dispersed area sits on sandstone benches overlooking Sand Hollow Reservoir, offering some of the best free camping near Zion National Park. The red rock terrain provides natural windbreaks and privacy, with sites scattered across several acres. Popular with RVers and overlanders heading to or from the national parks. Can get crowded on weekends, especially during spring and fall.
Access via Sand Hollow Road is paved to the state park entrance, then dirt roads branch off to camping areas. Most sites accessible by any vehicle, though high-clearance helps for more remote spots. No facilities, so pack everything out. Fire restrictions typically in effect May through September.
