BLM Mineral Bottom Dispersed Area
Mineral Bottom offers dispersed camping along the Green River with direct river access and stunning red rock scenery. Multiple informal sites spread along the river bottom, most suitable for self-contained rigs. The area sits at the end of a steep, winding dirt road that drops 1,000 feet from the mesa top — high-clearance vehicles recommended, especially when wet. Popular with rafters putting in for Labyrinth Canyon and overlanders staging for White Rim Road runs.
Access via Mineral Bottom Road, a 17-mile dirt route from Highway 313. The final descent is steep with switchbacks and loose rock — not recommended for large RVs or trailers. No facilities, so come prepared with water and pack out all trash. The area can flood during high water on the Green River, typically in late spring. Cell service is nonexistent down in the canyon.
