Black Hills National Forest Iron Creek Horse Camp Overflow
Located just north of the official Iron Creek Horse Camp, these dispersed sites offer more space and privacy than the developed campground. Large, level sites can handle big rigs and trailers, with established fire rings and decent spacing between camps. Popular with horse trailers but plenty of room for regular overlanders. Creek access for water filtering about quarter-mile walk.
Access via Forest Road 345A – well-maintained gravel suitable for any vehicle. Gets busy during Sturgis week and hunting season. No trash service so pack it out. Horse traffic means watch where you step, but the trail access to Centennial and other popular Black Hills routes is excellent.
Spacious sites with excellent trail access.
