Beavers Bend State Park Natural Falls Spring
Clear spring water bubbles up from sandstone fractures creating a small pool maybe 20 feet across, with overflow spilling down rock ledges into Mountain Fork Creek below. The spring runs year-round and stays cool even in summer — locals have been filling water jugs here for decades. Easy to spot from the main park road by the wooden footbridge, about a quarter-mile upstream from the river access area.
Short walk down from the parking pullout, though the trail gets muddy after rain. Park entry fee applies since it’s inside Beavers Bend boundaries. The spring itself is unmarked, but it’s obvious once you see the constant flow over the rocks. Test before drinking as always, but it’s been reliable for generations of Mountain Fork floaters.
