The order of stops on your trip matters — it determines the route on the map and the sequence on the page. Reordering is built in.
Desktop: drag handles
Each stop card on the itinerary tab has a vertical drag handle (⋮⋮) on the left edge. Grab it, drag the stop up or down, drop. The new order saves automatically and the map redraws to match.
Visual feedback during the drag:
- The row you’re dragging dims slightly
- A gold indicator line shows where the stop will land — above or below the row you’re hovering over
- A “Saving new order…” chip appears at the top of the list
Mobile: up/down buttons
Touch devices show ▲▼ buttons next to each stop instead of (or in addition to) the drag handle. Tap to move one position up or down. The first row’s ▲ is disabled; the last row’s ▼ is disabled.
What happens after a reorder
The page reloads with the new order, and the map fetches fresh routing between the reordered stops. If a leg of the new order doesn’t have a driveable route, it shows as a dashed gray line on the map (and the other legs render normally).
Reverting
If you reorder and don’t like the result, just drag it back. There’s no version history for stop order — what’s in the DB right now is what you see.
Who can reorder
Trip owner, invited crew members (after they’ve joined), and admins. Read-only viewers (anyone using a share link) can’t reorder.
Day-grouped trips
Drag-to-reorder isn’t available in day-grouped layout yet. You can still change day numbers on individual stops to reorganize, but it’s less fluid. Most trips work fine in ordered layout.
