Seagull Creek Territorial Campground — Campbell Highway

Seagull Creek Territorial Campground is one of those places the Campbell Highway delivers — genuinely remote, genuinely beautiful, and genuinely empty most of the time. Positioned between Faro and Watson Lake along the Campbell Highway, it’s right in the corridor overlanders use to access Ketza River Road and the surrounding Pelly Mountains mining country. The creek itself is clean and cold, the boreal forest thick, and the site has the basics: pit toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables. Wildlife sightings — moose, black bear, the occasional lynx — are common here.

The Campbell Highway is paved in stretches and gravel in others; this section is passable for high-clearance 2WD but expect washboard. The Yukon territorial campground system manages it with self-registration. Fuel is scarce on the Campbell — top off in Faro or Watson Lake before committing to this corridor. Open late May through September typically.
