Jewel Lake Provincial Park Campground — Boundary Country
Jewel Lake Provincial Park sits in the rolling highlands east of Beaverdell, tucked into a mixed spruce and pine forest with the lake right at the tent pads. The campground has around 30 sites, pit toilets, and a boat launch — it draws families in summer but stays quiet mid-week and into September. The lake has solid rainbow trout fishing and the shoreline trail is worth a morning walk. Cell service is effectively zero. Fire rings at most sites; check BCWS fire restriction status before you load the wood.
Access is paved the entire way via Highway 3 east from Beaverdell, then a short signed spur — any vehicle can make it. This is your best frontcountry staging option when running the Beaverdell–Conkle Lake FSR loop or heading deeper into Boundary Country. Reservations through Discover Camping in peak season; walk-ins are realistic outside July–August.
