Kekuli Bay Provincial Park Campground — Vernon Corridor
Kekuli Bay sits on the southern end of Kalamalka Lake just south of Vernon, and it punches above its weight as an overland basecamp. The lake is one of the more striking in BC — turquoise water with a milky mineral hue — and the campground has 55 sites with toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables. It fills fast in July and August with families, but shoulder season is mellower and the location is genuinely useful: you’re a short drive from Highway 97, within striking distance of the Okanagan Highlands, and reasonably close to the Boundary Country FSR networks near Beaverdell and Conkle Lake.
Sites accommodate rigs with trailers. Reservation through the BC Parks Discover Camping system is strongly recommended in summer — walk-ins gamble. Access is paved all the way. Best as a pre-run or post-run stop rather than a trailhead camp.
