Allegheny National Forest Kinzua Creek Dispersed Area

Dispersed Camping

Multiple pull-offs and clearings along forest service roads near Kinzua Creek, tucked into second-growth hardwood forest with occasional towering old hemlocks. Sites vary from car-camping friendly to rough clearings that’ll handle big rigs, most with natural fire rings from previous visitors. Creek access for water (treat it), decent cell signal on ridges, gets busy during hunting season and fall foliage.

Access via Forest Road 262 and various spurs — some washboarded, a few requiring high clearance after heavy rain. No facilities, pack it out. Best spring through fall; snow makes some roads impassable in winter. Watch for logging trucks on weekdays.
