Termas de Copahue Volcanic Hot Springs
These natural thermal pools sit in a dramatic volcanic landscape beneath steaming Volcán Copahue. Multiple pools range from 98°F to 140°F with varying mineral content – the sulfur pools are said to have therapeutic properties. Basic changing facilities and a small café serve the area. The setting is otherworldly with volcanic steam vents and mineral-stained rocks.
Access via 12 miles of gravel road from Caviahue village, passable by most vehicles but rough in spots. Peak season is December-March when all facilities operate. Snow closes access May through October. No camping at the springs themselves.
