Tahoe Rim Trail Trailhead at Big Meadow
Well-developed trailhead with paved parking, vault toilets, and trail information kiosks. Starting point for day hikes or multi-day sections of the Tahoe Rim Trail toward Round Top and Meiss Meadows. Large parking area can handle truck-trailer combos. Views of Lake Tahoe through the trees, with wildflower displays in July.
Access via Highway 89 south of South Lake Tahoe, then 5 miles on Forest Service Road 051. Road is paved but narrow with some washboard sections. Snow closure typically December through May. Water available seasonally from nearby creek.
