Gold Point Ghost Town

Authentic mining ghost town with original buildings, antique cars, and a quirky caretaker in the middle of nowhere.

Gold Point preserves one of Nevada’s most authentic ghost towns, complete with original miners’ shacks, a schoolhouse, and vintage cars scattered throughout the desert. The eccentric caretaker maintains the site and sometimes offers tours of the buildings and mining equipment. Several structures house antique collections and mining artifacts that tell the story of this remote gold camp.

Located on a rough dirt road about 6 miles off Highway 266, the town requires high-clearance vehicles. The caretaker may or may not be present, and there are no facilities or services. It’s a genuine step back into Nevada’s mining past, but come prepared with your own water and supplies.
