Susquehannock State Forest Little Pine Campground
Little Pine sits in a wooded hollow along the creek of the same name, offering 17 primitive sites with vault toilets, fire rings, and hand-pumped well water. This is classic Pennsylvania state forest camping — no frills, minimal maintenance, and priced accordingly at $5 per night. Sites are first-come, first-served and can fill on summer weekends despite the remote location.
Access requires 3 miles on rough gravel Little Pine Road off PA Route 287. The road is passable for most vehicles but can be muddy after rain. The campground serves as a decent base for exploring the northern Susquehannock trail network, though you’ll need to drive to other trailheads.
