Lyman Run State Park Campground
Tucked into a hollow in Potter County, Lyman Run offers 35 sites scattered along a clear mountain stream amid dense hardwood forest. Most sites are primitive with fire rings and picnic tables, though a few have electric hookups. The campground sits at 1,800 feet elevation and stays cool even in summer. Vault toilets and hand-pumped water are available, but no showers or dump station. Sites fill on summer weekends but midweek is usually quiet.
Access is via a paved road that turns to gravel for the final mile into the campground. The surrounding Susquehannock State Forest offers miles of dirt roads perfect for exploring. Open April through October, though the road can be rough during spring thaw. No reservations – first come, first served.
