Dukes Creek Falls Trailhead

Trailhead

This popular trailhead sits just off Richard Russell Scenic Highway, offering paved parking for 30+ vehicles and clean restrooms. The trail drops 340 feet over 1.1 miles to a wooden viewing platform overlooking the impressive two-tiered Dukes Creek Falls. The upper falls plunge 150 feet while the lower cascade adds another 160 feet, making this one of Georgia’s most dramatic waterfalls accessible by moderate hiking.

The parking area can fill on weekends during peak fall color season (mid-October). Trail surface is well-maintained dirt with some rocky sections near the falls. No camping permitted, but several established campgrounds sit within 10 miles along the Russell-Brasstown Scenic Byway.
