Kalaloch Campground Olympic National Park
Kalaloch sits right on the edge where old-growth Sitka spruce meets wild Pacific coastline. The 170 sites spread across bluffs and flat areas, with the coveted oceanfront spots booking out months ahead. You’ll fall asleep to crashing waves and wake up to bald eagles fishing the surf. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings, but no hookups — this is tent and RV dry camping only. The campground store stocks basics, and flush toilets with running water keep things civilized.
Access is straight off Highway 101, so any rig can make it in. Peak season runs June through August when reservations are essential. Winter brings storms and closures, but shoulder seasons offer fewer crowds and dramatic weather. The real draw is stepping out your door onto miles of driftwood-strewn beach — tide pools, sea stacks, and some of the best storm watching on the coast.
