Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Cashel Campsite
Perched on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, Cashel offers 30 pitches spread across terraced levels with direct loch access. The site features clean toilet blocks, cold water taps, and fire rings at each pitch. Most sites have epic views across the water to the jagged peaks of the Arrochar Alps. It’s a favorite stop for West Highland Way hikers and canoeists exploring the loch. The small site shop stocks basics and local maps.
Access requires a 2-mile drive down a narrow single-track road from Rowardennan village – watch for oncoming traffic and passing places. The campsite operates April through October, closing during winter storms. Book well ahead for summer weekends when it fills with Glasgow day-trippers and through-hikers.
