Stats and Badges

What every number means and how badges are earned.

Your wheeler profile shows two kinds of recognition: stats (factual counts of what you’ve done) and badges (named achievements you’ve unlocked).

Stats explained

The five-column stats strip on your profile shows:

  • Runs. Number of trails you’ve marked as driven. Each driven entry counts as one.
  • Countries. Distinct countries the trails you’ve driven are located in. Most people start here at 1.
  • Ratings. Number of public ratings you’ve submitted on trails.
  • Reports. Number of condition reports you’ve contributed.
  • Trails contributed. Number of new trails you’ve suggested that have been approved into the public atlas.

These count everything regardless of profile privacy — they’re shown on your profile (when public) and used internally for badge calculations.

How badges work

Badges unlock automatically when you cross specific thresholds. You don’t need to do anything to “claim” them — they appear on your profile the moment you earn them.

Examples of badges and their criteria [VERIFY exact thresholds]:

  • Trail Veteran — 25+ runs
  • Trail Master — 100+ runs
  • Continental Wheeler — runs in 3+ countries
  • Trusted Reporter — 10+ condition reports approved by other wheelers
  • Cartographer — 5+ approved trail contributions

The full badge list and current thresholds are visible from your profile’s badge section — hover any badge for its specific requirements.

The headline badge

At the top of your profile, one badge is shown prominently as your “headline.” By default the system picks the highest-prestige badge you’ve earned. You can override this from your profile editor if you want a different one to display — useful if your earliest badge has personal meaning even though you’ve since earned bigger ones.

Stats and privacy

Your stats and badges are part of the public profile. If your profile is private, no one sees these except you and admins. They’re always visible to you regardless.
