The profile is the masthead of your wheeler identity. Other wheelers see it when you rate a trail, comment on a place, or get tagged in a trip. Fill it out well — even a couple of sentences in the bio goes a long way.
Where to edit
Account → Profile tab. Every field has a save indicator that fires after you stop typing.
Display name
The name shown publicly. Doesn’t have to match your username. Mike Sawyer, Sawyer Overland, or That Guy With The Yellow XJ are all fine. Don’t use anything you wouldn’t want a stranger calling you.
Location
Region-level only — typically City + State, or City + Country if international. Don’t put your exact address. The location helps other wheelers know where you’re based for trip-planning purposes; it doesn’t need to be precise.
Bio
A few sentences about who you are, what you drive, what kind of wheeling you like. This is plain text — no formatting, no links. Keep it concise. Up to 500 characters [VERIFY exact limit].
Good bios mention: rig setup at a glance, type of terrain you favor, anything notable about how you wheel (groups you run with, regions you cover, types of trips you do).
Headline badge
Once you’ve earned some badges (see Stats and Badges), you can pick which one displays prominently at the top of your profile. By default the system shows your highest-tier badge automatically; the manual override lets you choose differently.
Saving
Most fields save when you click the Save button at the bottom. The form will show a success indicator when it commits. If you navigate away with unsaved changes, the browser will warn you.
