Wave Rock Caravan Park — Hyden Granite Country Resupply Camp
Wave Rock Caravan Park sits on the edge of Hyden, right by the granite that gives this stretch of the Holland Track its character. It’s a full-service private park with powered and unpowered sites, amenities blocks with showers and toilets, and a camp kitchen setup typical of Wheatbelt caravan parks. Hyden is the last real town services before the track heads east into the Goldfields, so it’s where you wash off the sand, charge the fridge, top up water and fuel, and sort the truck before the remote country.
It’s all sealed road to the gate, and any rig will get in. Expect it to fill up in wildflower season (roughly August to October) and school holidays, when coaches and caravans roll in for Wave Rock and The Humps. Nights can be properly cold in winter, and summers are hot. Prices, site availability and facilities change, so call ahead to verify before you commit. If you’re running the track east to west or the reverse, build a rest day around the granite walks. Have a dirty day.
