A completely stock SUV is fine — this is flat gravel road with 120 feet of total elevation gain. A Subaru Outback could do it. No clearance concerns whatsoever.
What's the best time of year to run this trail?
October through April is the sweet spot — lower vegetation opens up views of the river and industrial structures. Summer works too but overgrowth blocks a lot of the sightlines that make this route worth doing.
