Wayne National Forest Marietta Unit Archers Fork Campground

Established Campground

This basic Forest Service campground sits tucked into a hollow along Archers Fork Creek, about 15 miles southeast of Marietta. Eight primitive sites spread along the creek bottom offer fire rings and picnic tables under mature hardwood canopy. No hookups or showers, just vault toilets and hand-pump water. The place fills up during hunting season but stays quiet most weekends. Creek runs clear most of the year but can dry to pools by late summer.

Access is via Archers Fork Road (Forest Road 26), which turns to gravel for the last 4 miles but any vehicle can make it. Open April through October, though the road gets rough during spring thaw. Popular base camp for riders hitting the nearby ATV trail system and hikers exploring the extensive bridle trail network.
