Wayne National Forest Covered Bridge Campground
Located along Sunday Creek near the Knowlton Covered Bridge, this 25-site campground offers a mix of creek-side and wooded sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. Hand-pump water is available near the entrance. Sites vary from open gravel pads to more secluded spots back in the trees. The 1887 covered bridge makes for good photos and the creek provides decent swimming holes in summer.
The campground sits right off Forest Road 26, about 8 miles of maintained gravel from State Route 78. Open April through October, with peak usage during summer weekends and fall color season. Some sites can handle larger RVs, others are better for tents and smaller rigs.
