Stripes Store Marathon

This Stripes convenience store serves as the final fuel and supply checkpoint for overlanders heading into Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. The station has diesel, unleaded, and a well-stocked store with basic groceries, ice, propane exchange, and camping supplies. Staff are used to dealing with dusty rigs and long-distance travelers needing directions to remote areas.

Located right on US 385, Marathon sits at the crossroads for multiple Big Bend access routes. The town also has a small grocery store, cafe, and historic Gage Hotel if you need more substantial resupply. Cell service is reliable here but gets spotty once you head west into the desert. Top off everything here – it’s 40+ miles to the next services in any direction.
