Roraima Tepui — Summit Plateau and Triple Border Viewpoint

Mount Roraima’s summit plateau is the whole reason overlanders push their rigs to Paraitepui and lace up boots for the two-day approach. The tepui itself is a 31 km² sandstone tabletop rising sheer out of the Gran Sabana — ancient beyond comprehension, perpetually cloud-wrapped, and genuinely unlike anywhere else on the planet. The triple-border point (La Pyramide) where Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana meet is reachable on the summit and worth every meter of elevation gain. Carnivorous plants, quartzite crystal fields, and micro-ecosystems found nowhere else on Earth live up here.

This POI is the end goal of the Roraima Base Circuit — overlanders park rigs at Paraitepui village, enter on foot with a registered Pemón guide (mandatory under INPARQUES rules), and summit in two days up the ramp on the Venezuelan flank. Weather on the plateau is violent and fast-moving year-round. Dry season (November–April) is the window. No fires permitted on the summit. Everything you carry up comes back down.
