Reserva Nacional Río Los Cipreses Camping Ranchillo
A basic CONAF-managed campground along the Río Los Cipreses, about 80km east of Rancagua. Ten designated sites with fire rings and pit toilets, no hookups. Popular with Chilean families on weekends but quiet midweek. Mountain views and the sound of rushing water. Campfires allowed when fire danger is low.
Access via gravel road from Rancagua — high-clearance recommended for the final 20km of washboard. Gateway to thermal springs at Termas del Flaco and old copper mining sites higher in the valley. Reserve ahead during summer (Dec-Feb). Elevation keeps it cool even in summer.
