Quechee State Park
Fifty-four sites spread across wooded loops above the Ottauquechee River, with flush toilets, hot showers, and a camp store. Most sites handle rigs up to 35 feet, though the interior loops get tight for bigger setups. Summer weekends book solid with leaf-peepers and families, but weekdays stay mellow. Fire rings at every site, firewood sold on-site.
Located right off Route 4 between Woodstock and White River Junction, making it a solid base camp for exploring the Green Mountains or grabbing supplies. The Quechee Gorge overlook is a short walk from the campground. Open late May through mid-October, reservations strongly recommended July through September.
