Percy Quin State Park

Established Campground

Percy Quin State Park sits on the shores of 700-acre Lake Tangipahoa near McComb, offering 22 improved campsites with water and electric hookups. The park features a boat launch, fishing pier, and swimming beach. Sites are level and accommodate larger rigs, though shade is limited in some areas. Weekend reservations fill quickly during spring and fall.

Located just off I-55 at Exit 13, the park serves as a solid basecamp for exploring Homochitto National Forest trails to the east or Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge to the south. The lake provides reliable water access, and the camp store stocks basic supplies and ice.

Full-service lakeside basecamp near southern trails.
