Olive Ridge Campground — Roosevelt National Forest

Olive Ridge sits along the North Fork of the St. Vrain Creek at about 8,650 feet inside Roosevelt National Forest, roughly 15 miles south of Estes Park off Highway 7. It’s a developed USFS campground with 56 sites in a ponderosa and lodgepole pine corridor — flat, well-shaded, and quieter than anything inside the Park. Flush toilets and drinking water on-site. No hookups, no dump station, no frills. Sites are large enough to handle rigs with trailers. Hummingbird Trail and Ouzel Falls routes are nearby.

Access is paved the entire way from Lyons on CO-7. Season typically runs late May through October. Reservations available on Recreation.gov and strongly recommended for summer weekends — it fills up as RMNP overflow traffic spills south. No fire restrictions unique to this site but check USFS fire orders before you go. Good cell signal compared to deeper in the mountains.
