The visitor center sits right beneath the iconic New River Gorge Bridge, offering spectacular views of the 876-foot span and the gorge below. Clean restrooms, detailed trail maps, and a well-stocked gift shop make this a solid resupply stop before heading into the surrounding wilderness areas. Rangers provide current conditions for backcountry roads and dispersed camping areas throughout the Monongahela National Forest.
Easy access off US-19 with ample parking for larger rigs. Open year-round but reduced hours in winter. The bridge viewpoint gets crowded during peak fall foliage season in October.
