Naxwit Creek FSR — Taseko River Bridge Viewpoint
The Taseko River bridge on the Naxwit Creek FSR is one of those checkpoints every rig running the Taseko–Tatlayoko corridor needs to note. The river runs big and silty out of the Coast Mountains, and the timber-deck bridge here is the only reliable crossing in the lower valley. Pull off on the north bank for a clear view of the canyon walls dropping into the water — dramatic country, especially in early summer when snowmelt is screaming through. No facilities, just gravel pullouts and a concrete barrier on the bridge approach.
Access is via the Taseko River FSR off Highway 20 west of Williams Lake. The road is graded gravel to this point but deteriorates south of the bridge — high-clearance is a must past here. Spring runoff can damage the bridge approach annually; check with the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast regional district before committing. No camping at the bridge itself — continue south to established rec sites.
Taseko canyon floor — the valley's key river crossing.
