Meziadin Lake Provincial Park Campground

Established Campground

Meziadin Lake sits in a deep glacially carved valley just north of the junction of Highways 37 and 37A, and this BC Parks campground is one of the better-positioned overnight stops in the northwest corner of the province. The lake is a brilliant blue-green from glacial flour, with the surrounding peaks hammering home just how remote you are. Sites are wooded, spaced reasonably well, and the campground has flush toilets and a boat launch. It fills on summer weekends but rarely turns people away mid-week. Bears are a serious consideration here — hard boxes or bear hang required.

This is the anchor camp for anyone running the Salmon Glacier Road toward Stewart and Hyder. From here it’s roughly 65 km to Stewart on paved 37A. The campground is maintained by BC Parks and is reservable through Discover Camping. Season runs late May through early September. Access is paved all the way from Meziadin Junction.
