McCormick’s Creek State Park Campground
McCormick’s Creek carved a rugged limestone canyon through south-central Indiana, and this 250-site campground sits right in the thick of it. Electric hookups, hot showers, and a camp store make it civilized, but you’re still walking distance from Wolf Cave and the canyon overlooks. Sites are mostly level with decent spacing under mature hardwoods — busy on summer weekends but manageable spring and fall.
The park sits 15 minutes from Spencer and about 30 minutes from Bloomington, putting you in range of the Brown County and Hoosier National Forest trail networks. Canyon Inn serves decent food if you don’t feel like cooking. Park roads are paved but narrow — big rigs will want to call ahead about site assignments.
