Lyndhurst Hotel

This classic outback pub sits at the junction where the Strzelecki Track meets the Birdsville Track, making it a natural staging point for overlanders heading north. The hotel offers hearty counter meals, cold beer, and basic supplies, with a genuine bush pub atmosphere that hasn’t changed much in decades. Fuel, ice, and limited groceries are available, plus accommodation if you need a real bed before tackling the track.

The pub gets busy during school holidays and race weekends, but generally maintains that relaxed outback vibe. It’s your last chance for a proper shower and meal before Mungerannie, so many travelers make it an overnight stop. The bitumen ends just north of here.
