Loch Ness — Foyers Village and Falls of Foyers Viewpoint
Foyers sits on the B852 on Loch Ness’s eastern shore — the road less driven — and it delivers. The Falls of Foyers plunge around 30 metres into a deep, tree-lined gorge, and a short signed walk from the village gets you to an overlook that earns its reputation. The village has a small shop, a pub, and a petrol station that keeps irregular hours — verify before relying on it. Loch Ness itself is visible from several pull-ins along this stretch of the B852, and the eastern shore road feels nothing like the tourist convoy on the A82 opposite.
The B852 is fully paved and manageable for any rig, but it’s narrow in places with limited passing room for larger setups. Dispersed camping is not really on at this end of the loch — head north toward Dores or south toward Fort Augustus for more options. This is a solid lunch stop or leg-stretch between Inverness and Fort Augustus on the less-obvious route.
Loch Ness's eastern shore — minus the circus.
