This distinctive sandstone ridge rises 300 feet above the surrounding slickrock, creating one of Moab’s most recognizable landmarks. The trail follows the narrow fin’s spine to multiple viewpoints, with the final summit requiring exposed scrambling over smooth rock. Views encompass the La Sal Mountains, Arches National Park, and downtown Moab below.
Trailhead located off Highway 191 north of Moab with a small dirt parking area that fills quickly. The route is unmarked and follows cairns up steep slickrock — not recommended in wet conditions when rock becomes dangerously slippery. Early morning start advised to avoid afternoon heat and crowds.
