Lillooet — Cayoosh Creek FSR Trailhead Kiosk and Camping Info (Point of Interest)
Cayoosh Creek FSR spills out of the mountains just east of Lillooet on Highway 99/40. Before you commit to the backcountry push toward Duffey Lake and the high country beyond, this junction is your last real chance to read posted notices, check the condition of the main FSR gate, and eyeball water levels in the creek below. The road follows the creek drainage south and can run tight — low-water crossings become sketchy in May snowmelt. No formal services at the trailhead itself.
Vehicle minimum is high-clearance 4WD. Cell service drops within a few kilometers of the junction. Summer through early fall is the window — the upper FSR can hold snow well into June and closes again with the first hard freeze in October. Lillooet town is five minutes back; fuel up there (Husky on Main) before you roll in.
Gateway intel stop for Cayoosh FSR country.
