Kleanza Creek Provincial Park Campground — Skeena River Canyon
Kleanza Creek is a small, tight BC Parks campground carved into a forested canyon on the north side of the Skeena River, about 20 kilometres east of Terrace on Highway 16. The site sits where Kleanza Creek drops through a narrow bedrock gorge — there’s a short trail down to the falls that’s worth the five-minute walk. Forty-four sites, pit toilets, fire rings. It’s a proper camp, not a slab parking lot, and the trees give real shade. Useful for overlanders on the Yellowhead corridor connecting Terrace and Smithers before turning north toward Babine Mountains or the Lakes District backcountry.
Access is right off Highway 16 — any rig can get in. Busy mid-summer with BC road-trippers but not jammed. Fires may be restricted in late summer; check the Northwest Fire Centre before you go. No showers, no hookups, no nonsense.
