Kiamichi River Natural Spring

Water Source

This natural spring emerges from limestone formations about 50 yards upstream from the Kiamichi River bridge on Forest Road 63-A. The spring produces a steady flow of clear, cold water year-round, feeding into a small pool before joining the river. Local hunters and hikers have used this source for decades, and the water is generally considered safe after filtering or treatment.

Access requires a short walk down a well-worn path from the forest road. The spring sits in a shaded grove of oak and hickory, making it a pleasant stop even in summer heat. Flow remains consistent except during severe drought years. Most reliable access is from April through October when forest roads are in better condition.
