Kenosha Pass Campground

High-altitude USFS campground at 10,000 feet elevation with aspen groves and views of South Park basin.

Kenosha Pass Campground sits at treeline along US-285 between Fairplay and Bailey, with 25 sites scattered through aspen and spruce at 10,000 feet elevation. Most sites handle mid-size rigs, but a few are tight for larger units. Vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings standard — no water on-site. Gets busy during fall aspen season and weekends.

Direct highway access makes it a solid basecamp for running nearby passes like Georgia, Webster, or Weston. Open roughly June through September depending on snow. Sites fill early on Friday afternoons during peak season.
