Kabetogama Lake Landing
This small landing sits on the southern shore of Kabetogama Lake, one of the four major lakes in Voyageurs National Park. The water here runs deep and clear, perfect for filtering or treating for camp use. A concrete boat ramp provides easy access, and there’s a small parking area that can handle a few rigs. The setting feels wild despite being accessible by road — thick boreal forest comes right to the water’s edge.
Access is via County Road 123, which is paved most of the way but can get rough near the landing after spring thaw. The area stays relatively quiet compared to the main visitor centers, making it a good spot to top off water tanks before heading deeper into the backcountry. Ice-out typically happens in late April or early May.
