Gemini Bridges Road — Moab BLM Dispersed Camping
Gemini Bridges Road is a graded dirt route that leaves Highway 313 north of Moab and runs across the mesa to the twin natural bridges. Dispersed camps sit along the road and its spurs, usually in existing disturbed sites with big sky, juniper, and slickrock edges. It’s a convenient base for the Gemini Bridges, Bartlett Wash, and Monitor and Merrimac areas. Expect company on spring and fall weekends, and plenty of mountain bikers and side-by-sides during the day.
The road is a washboardy, sandy dirt track in dry weather that most high-clearance rigs can handle. Rain makes the clay greasy and can shut things down fast. Moab-area BLM rules are strict. Bring a portable toilet, use a fire pan if fires are allowed, and pack out everything. There are no services here. Check the BLM Moab Field Office for current camping rules and fire restrictions before you go. Have a dirty day.
