Dutch John Mountain Home KOA
This well-maintained KOA sits in the high desert near Flaming Gorge, offering full hookups, hot showers, and a camp store stocked with basics. The sites are spacious enough for larger rigs, with good separation and mountain views. It’s a popular basecamp for fishing Flaming Gorge and running the backcountry trails in Ashley National Forest.
Located just off US-191, it’s easily accessible and stays busy during summer months — reservations recommended. The elevation keeps it cooler than lower desert camps, but winter operations are limited. Good cell service and close enough to Dutch John for resupply runs.
