Devil’s Lake State Park

Established Campground

Devil’s Lake fills a narrow gap between towering quartzite bluffs that rise 500 feet from the water’s edge. The park’s three campgrounds offer 423 sites total, with the northern area being quieter and better for larger rigs. Electric sites are available, and the park stays busy spring through fall with rock climbers and hikers hitting the bluff trails.

Access is straight off Highway 123 south of Baraboo. The park can fill on summer weekends, so reservations are smart. Winter camping is available but water gets shut off. The lake itself is spring-fed with no inlet or outlet, keeping it remarkably clear.
