Delaware Water Gap Tocks Island Road Dispersed Area
Several primitive camping spots along old Tocks Island Road and connecting trails near the Delaware River. Sites offer river views and direct access to fishing and swimming holes. Most spots can handle 1-2 vehicles with tent space, and a few larger clearings can accommodate smaller RVs. Mature hardwood forest provides good shade, and the sound of the river creates a peaceful atmosphere.
Access via Old Mine Road to Tocks Island Road, which becomes increasingly rough as you approach the river. High-clearance recommended for the best sites closest to the water. Popular during summer weekends and fishing season. Fire restrictions often in effect during dry periods. No facilities, but the Delaware River provides water for filtering.
