Darrington — Chevron and Town Resupply on Darrington Road
Darrington is a logging town that punches above its weight as an overlanding resupply stop. The Chevron on the main drag covers fuel — diesel and unleaded — and there’s a small grocery nearby for food and ice restocking. It’s the last reliable fuel before you head into the Mountain Loop Highway corridor toward Glacier Peak Wilderness or onto the Darrington-area forest service roads like FR 22. Small town, no frills, but everything you actually need is here.
If you’re running Mount Baker-Snoqualmie NF roads out of the Darrington Ranger District, fill up here every time without question. Cell signal is decent in town but drops fast once you head up into the drainages. The ranger station is in town as well — worth a stop for current road conditions before heading into the backcountry. Population is small, so don’t expect a full auto parts store — bring your spares.
Last fuel before the Mountain Loop backcountry.
