These dramatic slot canyons formed from eroded bentonite clay create cathedral-like chambers and narrow passages that twist through buff-colored walls. The main Miller Point Trail leads to overlooks, while numerous unofficial paths drop into the maze of slots below. The soft clay walls are easily damaged, so stick to established routes and avoid climbing on formations.
Access is via paved road with a small day-use fee. The slots can be extremely hot in summer and slippery when wet. Spring and fall offer the best conditions for exploration, with dramatic lighting in late afternoon.
